Dirâr B. Amr and his views about Islamic sects

Abstract (EN)

Dirar b. Amr who was in the Mu'tazilla's party at the beginning had a big impact on entitling, formating and developing of Islamic sects and parties. As being one of the earliest thinkers of Mu'tazillis he was the first thinker who was criticing the sects negatively or positively and also entitling these sects. Although in the field of Islamic sects widely known are "El Milel ve'n Nihal", Makalati'l-İslamiyyin", Bağdadi "el-Fark Beyne'l-Firak", İbn-i Hazm "el-Fasl fil-Milel vel-Ehvai ve'n-Nihal" and their works, in fact the first interpreter and entitler was Dirar b. Amr and his work "Kitabu't-Tahriş". This thesis analysises Dirar b. Amr work Kitabu't Tahriş and some of the answers he gave based on his book. This study will reveal Dirar's ideas and sighs about early Islamic sects and also help to reveal exploitation of some thinker views about Dirar's ideas. Also this thesis tries to gain clues about the backround and birth of the sects. This thesis is periodic and individual and uncovers early sects and views. The thesis consists of two parts. In the first part we deal with Dirar b. Amr's neighboor hood, the periods goverment Powers, Irag's society and culture structures, his life and works. In the second part his views and approach to the period's sects and his position in the Mu'tazila.
