Abstract (EN)

All sources of wealth, which are formed spontaneously in the environment, are not the product of human mind and technique, and do not have any constructive or destructive role in the formation stages, are called natural resources. Natural resources, which have an important place for countries at every stage of history, have important effects on the economies of countries as well as their political effects. For this reason, although they are not evenly distributed among countries, the fact that some natural resources are without alternatives increases the importance of these natural resources for countries. The unequal distribution of natural resources among countries is the most important reason for trade between countries. Because while some countries are rich in natural resources, some countries are seen as relatively poor. Trade in natural resources between countries maintains its importance today as it was in the past. Especially developed countries need to trade with countries rich in natural resources in order to protect or expand their current economy. Countries rich in natural resources, on the other hand, become partners in this trade in order to increase their welfare and living standards in their own country. Turkey, on the other hand, acts as an intermediary in the trade made due to its current location and uses its geostrategical advantages. Key Words: Foreign Trade, Foreign Trade Policies, Natural Resources, Petroleum, Natural Gas, Coal, Turkish Economy.
