Abstract (EN)
In this study, on the purpose of care and maintenance the fire alarm systems, it has been aimed that design testing appartus for check the smoke detectors, which generally use in like this systems, for accurately operate within the frame of intenden criterions. In the present time developments in the field of technology bring us jeopardies together with the conveniences. Fire is a situation that at the beginning or the end of these risks, we all know. Therefore, international norms and regulations in our country are evaluated in this context. The safest way to deal with fire hazards is to prevent fire or to interfere in fire early. Fire alarm systems are the most effective way of interfering with fire in today's world. Fire alarm systems are divided into two types as conventional and addressed type according to establishment purpose and establishment purpose. While the conventional fire alarm system may report the fire locally, the addressed type fire alarm system may report point of the fire. Conventional type fire alarm systems systems are used in small spaces (large and less number of sections), while addressed types are used in larger areas (hospitals, hotels or high-rise buildings). The smoke detectors testing apparatus, which is dealt with in the thesis subject, is a widely used field component in both systems. The service life of these field components depends on the manufacturer (usually 3 to 5 years). However, after the installation of these detectors, testing that they are working properly, constitute an important part of fire prevention plans. Regardless of the manufacturers, an apparatus that can test most of the smoke detectors will enable the fire alarm system users to test their own field components.
