Abstract (EN)
In this study, the target is to evaluate the work of Jewelery TechnologyDepartment of Dumlupinar University in terms of tools and materials, aims andusage of these tools, esthetic aspects of jewelery and the impressions of the students.The population of the study is composed of the first and the secondclass students of Jewelery Technology Department throughout the years 2005 and2006. Scale is applied to 80 students and the data is analysed using frequency andpercent techniques. To interpret the results, frequency and percents are taken anddata are shown in tables.Survey papers are used to detect the impressions of the students and tointerpret the results, frequency and percents are taken and data are shown in tables. Itis supposed to refer to true results according the students? answers. As a result of thestudy, following results are obtained:1) Workshops in the department aren?t enough as far as the quality,quantity and the equipment is considered. The tools used inworkshops aren?t up to date either.2) Apart from the drawing lessons, class hours in curriculum areenough.3) While the students enjoy lessons, motivating factors aren?t enough.4) Classes in curriculum don?t include most of the technicalinnovations and technological innovations can?t be used in lessonsefficiently.5) Equipments are partially enough. Content of the lessons, the goodsproduced in the market can?t be used in lessond efficiently.Based on the problems appeared at the end of this study, therecommendations of the researcher are included in this study.
