Investigation of important logistics centers in the world and Turkey's place in these centers

Logistics provides continuous profit maximization with the strategic management of the supply, shipment, and storage processes and cost-effective order fulfillment methods of the inputs and information flows required for production, both within the enterprise and throughout the distribution channel. Although it is understood that the concept of logistics, which has come to the fore in recent years, emerged in the 21st century, its roots date back to ancient times. Logistics has become one of the essential elements in meeting the changing and developing customer expectations in today's globalization and increasing competition conditions. The logistics sector is growing in the world and Turkey, and the potential of the logistics sector is better understood daily. The increase in world goods trade and globalization increase the importance of logistics even more. In the competitive global market, buyers are looking for products at the right place, at the right time, with the right quality, and at a lower price. Therefore, the effective execution of logistics activities and processes contributes to the enterprise's profitability and the country's economy. In this study, logistics concepts and their importance are included. Furthermore, information is given about the examples of logistics village applications worldwide and in Turkey.
