Istanbul New Airport, which is being constructed as an example of this building called aerotropolis, is of great importance in this context both nationally and internationally. The main objective of the study was to measure how many of the properties of the IH are available to be a real aerotropolis by taking the example of the aerotropolis structures with many internationally accepted examples. A semi-structured interview was conducted face to face with the IH Director, together with the research questions that were developed as a result of the literature review and examination of official websites. With the data obtained, Schiphol Airport, Dallas / Fort Worth Airport, Changi Airport and Dubai Airport and the Istanbul Airport comparison method were used. It has been observed that Istanbul Airport meets the many features of the aerotropolis features along with the properties offered. However, it is concluded that it will be able to determine whether it will carry all the features after it has been put into operation.
