Abstract (EN)
Dursun Akçam wrote his works in Turkish Literature of Republican Period between 1960-1980. In this study, the novelist aspect of the writer, who produced works of art in the genres of novel, story and memoirs, has been handled.The study consists of two parts. In the first part, some information about the writer?s life, his literary personality and his works has been given.In the second part, which is the basis of the study, we have analysed Dursun Akçam?s four novels in terms of structure and theme. We have mada use of theory of novel while analysing the structural and thematic construction of the novels. In addition, we have made use of some disciplines such as sociology and psychology. Dursun Akçam wrote four novels between 1975-2002. The writer, who went to Germany after 12 September events, wrote two novels in Germany, where he lived for eleven years. After his return to Turkey, he published his last novel in the genre of autobiographical novel. He wrote his works with a socialist realist point of view. He gave place to social themes more than personal themes. We have tried to evaluate the thematic construction of Akçam?s novels through handling personal themes such as love, self-realization, alienation in addition to the social themes such as rebellion, exploitation, bureaucratic disruption.After the conclusion part about Dursun Akçam?s novelist aspect, we have given place to references part which involves resources about the writer and the area.Key Words: Dursun Akçam, novel, socialist realism, Germany
