Özet (EN)

Ceramic glazes are glass and glassy structure covering the surface of the ceramic products. When the connection between ceramic glazes and glass is examined, it is seen that ceramic glazes are silica-type glasses. Due to their structural similarity, their development affected each other. According to some researchers, glass production originated as part of glaze production. Despite their similar structure, they continued their progress as two different areas. Despite their structural similarities, the use of glazes is seen in literature studies on the use of glazes on glass surfaces, but there is no comprehensive study. For this reason, the use of low-grade ceramic glazes on glass surfaces was investigated in this study, which is considered as a qualification thesis in art. The aim of the research, is to develop a glaze that can be adhered to glass surfaces by maturing at low temperatures and to create an alternative material to glass decoration paints by coloring this glaze with different oxides and dyes. In addition to the use of low-grade glazes on glass surfaces developed by studying the definition and historical processes of ceramic glazes and glass, the effects on ceramic surfaces were also investigated. Furthermore, original forms were produced by shaping glazed glasses with slumping and fusion techniques.
