Abstract (EN)
In this study, processing of manganese ores taken from Antalya and Kayseri Yahyalı areas was investigated applying Shaking Tables, MGS (Multi Gravity Seperator), PERMROLL Dry Magnetic Seperator, Flotation and Chemical Leaching methods. Sample characterization by XRD showed that the presence of a variety of minerals mainly; Quartz, Manganite and Pyrolusite in Antalya sample and Quartz, Hematite, Goethite, Todorokite, Manganosite in Kayseri sample.According to experimental results a saleable concentrate is not obtained applying the methods mentioned above. However, at the optimum conditions (-0,106 mm particle size, 180 rpm speed, 4o incline degree, 2.2 L/min feed rates, 15% pulp density) of MGS for Antalya sample, a concentrate was obtained with 41.24% Mn, yield 78.71%.At the optimum conditions (1/12 solid rate, 0.4 M H2O2, 3 M HCl rate, 95 oC temperature, 1/12 pulp density and 120 minutes leaching time) of chemical leaching for Kayseri sample, leaching yield was 99.18%.
