Abstract (EN)

Positivist critque, denail of grand narattives and the consumer role of the indivisual has been discussed from the points of transformation from industrial capitalism to late capitalism. Giddens (1991) proposes the concept of reflexive modernity. The concept of reflexive modernity states that social identities have become reflexive projects that constantly studied and judged. Giddens argues that self-reflexivity developes with self-inquiries. According to the author questions that constitute self-reflexivity are self-inquiries. Minör Empire band founded in 2010 by Ozgu Ozman and Ozan Boz in Canada. The band combines the elements of World Music, Fusion, Electronic Music and Jazz with Turkish Folk Music. The band states they are making music to express themselves. The band members claim that the music they made cannot be categorized and only belongs to them. They use the term of "Coexistence" in the sense of bringing the opposite elements together and creating together. In this paper the concept of Coexistence will be examined in the context of identity construction the reflexive modernity.
