Özet (EN)

Feminism is a range of movement that both men and women have to same rights and have to achieve equal rights for all aspects of life. The first wave of feminism in Turkey occurred in the Tanzimat Reform Era. After 1960's the term feminism has been used in both literary works and academic studies. In the first section of this thesis, we analyze Duygu Asena's life, one of the important central figures in 1990's, and her literary works and literary identity. Both her books and her radical movements, additionally her thoughts and her ideas influenced the development of feminist history. In the second section, we analyze feminist literary approach and feminist literary criticism. In the third part, we examine the book Kadının Adı Yok (The Woman has No Name) written by Duygu Asena in terms of feminism. Duygu Asena's first book, The Woman has No Name, which was published in 1987, is a significant book focused on sexuality, gender equality, patriarchy, feminism and emasculation of women in regard to feminism. In addition to this, this book suggests that woman is valued an individual and it vaccines that they should not bow to the patriarchal order; on the other hand it is a work that provides positive contributions to the feminist struggle. Because it is Duygu Asena's first and most-seller book, in this thesis, the novel Kadının Adı Yok (The Woman has No Name) was examined from feminist perspective.
