This research aims to examine the relationships between emotional intelligence, communication skills and job stress in a sample of healthcare personnel. In addition, determining whether emotional intelligence, communication skills and job stress differ significantly according to the personal and demographic characteristics of the participants is among the aims of the research. The population of the research consists of 2552 healthcare personnel working at Yozgat City Hospital and Yozgat Bozok University Research and Application Hospital, which serve in Yozgat province. The survey was conducted with the participation of 557 healthcare professionals. A demographic information survey, a four- dimensional emotional intelligence scale, a single-dimensional communication skills evaluation scale, and a single-dimensional work stress scale were used in the research. The analysis results showed that the personal and demographic characteristics of the healthcare professionals participating in the study were effective in their emotional intelligence, communication skills and job stress perceptions. Analyzes showed that emotional intelligence affected communication skills positively and job stress negatively, and communication skills negatively affected job stress.
