Özet (EN)

Organizations must keep up with changes and developments at the same rate in today's era of competition in order to put themselves in an effective position, to be in a powerful advantage against other organizations, and to achieve their previously stated goals. In today's global business, a significant number of individuals must work on-site or remotely while maintaining a high level of engagement. In such a business environment, it is essential to assure the presence of employees with a high emotional quotient who can manage their own and others' emotions and work in harmony with their environment in order to create an efficient, serene, and competitive organizational structure with high employee loyalty. Although many studies claim that the study of emotional quotient began around 2000 years ago with Plato's emphasis on "All learning has an emotional basis," recent studies have focused on understanding the effectiveness of emotional quotient in everyday and business life, adding new dimensions to the concept's meaning pattern. Scientists, philosophers, researchers, and educators have conducted studies to illustrate the value or insignificance of emotions, as well as sociological and psychological analyses. When the findings are examined, it has become clear that emotions regulate a big part of life, and that people with a high emotional quotient can interact well with others and have leadership qualities in both their professional and social lives. This study emphasizes the concept of emotional intelligence that has recently been popular in my country and its impact on employees' organizational commitment. The purpose of this study is to look at the effect of emotional quotient on organizational commitment in white-collar personnel in the defense industry. "The Schutte Emotional Quotient Question Scale" and the "Allen And Meyer's Organizational Commitment Scale" were utilized as data collection techniques to measure emotional quotient as well as the demographic information of 107 white-collar employees for this study, which is a relational survey study. The SPSS 28 statistical tool has been used to check the collected data. Per the findings, the emotional quotient has a beneficial impact on organizational commitment. It has been found that employees with high emotional intelligence have a higher level of organizational commitment. Keywords: Emotion, Emotional Quotient, Organizational Commitment
