Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out to determine pest species on hazelnut orchards in Duzce at three different sub-region (coastal, medium and high altitude) in 2012-2013. As a result of the study 19 species pest insects belonging to 12 families and 4 orders were determined. The adult population dynamics were studied for the Hazelnut weevil (Curculio nucum L.) (Coleoptera: Curculionidae), Green shield bug (Palomena prasina L.) (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae), American white moth (Hyphantria cunea Drury) (Lepidoptera: Arctiidae), and Filbert aphid (Myzocallis coryli Goetze) (Hemiptera: Aphididae). As a result, P. prasina and H. cunea were determined as economically important pest species while C. nucum and M. coryli was not important. Fruit damages of C. nucum were changed according to sub-region.
