Life, art and poems of Düziçili Mustafa Akpinar

The Turkish nation has a deep-rooted written and oral tradition. In our oral tradition, which has its roots in the shaman tradition, turned into a form in the 16th century and continues to exist today, is the tradition of minstrelsy. The subject of this study is the life, art and poems of Mustafa Akpınar, one of the representatives of the tradition of minstrelsy today. Our study is limited to 251 poems determined by the source person. Poems that were not included in the thesis study were not included in the study because they were not considered sufficient by Mustafa Akpınar. The purpose of our study; o determine the place of Mustafa Akpınar in the tradition, to give a name and work to the tradition of minstrelsy literature. Our study using observation and interview methods / techniques; The introduction consists of four sections: The Life and Art of lover, Analysis of His Poems and His Poems. In the first part, general information about the research field and research subject is given. In the second part, the life and art of the lover are discussed in various aspects. In the third chapter, minstrel poems are evaluated in terms of form and content. In the last part, the poems of Mustafa Akpınar were shared. Information about the reasons for writing some poems and when they were written are shared as footnotes. At the end of the research, it was seen that Mustafa Akpınar wrote poems with the pseudonym of the Poet of Sorrow, did not play saz, fell in love by drinking bade, did not grow up in a master-apprentice relationship, but did practices such as solving riddles with letters and writing mutual poems with (bards/minstrel/scop). It has been determined that Mustafa Akpınar was referred to by his friends with the pseudonym of Suffering Poet in Düziçi minstrelsy tradition, that he was known and known for his minstrelsy, as well as being a temra quarry, that he made amulets from gorse to protect people from the evil eye, and that he prepared herbal teas for the treatment of various diseases.
