Abstract (EN)

Since the use of electrical energy at beginning, energy prices have been specified by simple traditional methods. With the use of renewable energy sources widely, the variety of energy sources has increased, and smart grid concepts have started to be implemented. Due to developments in technology, energy pricing is becoming more complex, and more secure methods without intervention are needed. In this thesis, a dynamic energy price platform for blockchain based smart microgrids with integrated renewable sources is proposed. Since intervention of any user or a host is not allowed in blockchain process, the reliability is very high. Real-time energy production of various sources in the microgrid and consumption rates are evaluated, and a dynamic price is determined simultaneously. The developed strategy is tested using different scenarios for a microgrid involving renewable sources such as solar power stations and wind farms. In the scenarios, several conditions were considered for both supply and demand side management. Use of the dynamic pricing strategy with the blockchain is explained. For blockchain connection and communication, smart metering is considered for energy meters and the connection and communication is done by Internet of Things (IOT). As a result, a novel, self- controlling and secure energy pricing scheme is generated.
