Abstract (EN)
Keywords : Resveratrol, (E)-Stilbene, Biotransformation, Aspergillus niger Resveratrol is a compound with a lot of important functions. Only some plants have resveratrol and they have it a little. Therefore, scientist prefer getting resveratrol by synthetic methods to isolating it form plants. In this study, the biotransformations of (E)-stilbene were performed in order to get hydroxylated stilbeneoids such as resveratrol since some microorganisms are able to hydroxylate aromatic rings. After the biotransformations, the melting points and 1H- NMR, 13C-NMR and FTIR spectra were taken from both starting materials and the new compounds. Most of the unchanged starting material and some (E)-stilbene oxide were obtained from the biotransformations. All these results showed that Aspergillus niger could not metabolise (E)-stilbene in an expected way and the biotransformation was not a good way in order to get hydroxylated stilbenoids.
