The art of marbling in textile industry

The aim of this study, implementing the textile art of ebru (marbling) by masters, to investigate the method of applying to textiles, for which used in dyes, fabric types, the ebru uses of textile area, different colour and composition of watering to the fabric.In this study, descriptive research method was used and methods of qualitative data (interview forms with full masters of watering) were obtained.Research was carried out by the questions in the form of (N=6) interviews to ebru masters who accepted to interview.Data was collected by the questions in the interview form prepared by the researcher which was asked to the masters. Ebru textile products applied by masters was evaluated by observation card.The findings shows that different method application, the various dyes used in, different kind of ebru and various fabric were used by each master. Various methods were developed for material to ensure the permanence on fabric.In light of these findings, recommendations was presented to find new life to the art ofebru and a variety of materials in order to expand use of Textile and for scientific research can be done on the future.Keywords: Art of ebru, textile, ebru and textile
