Translation and evaluation of Abu'l-Hasan 'Alī al-Harawī's work titled al-İşârât ilâ Ma'rifeti'z-Ziyârât

Abu'l-Ḥasan 'Alī al-Harawī (542-611 / 1147-1215), who lived in the twelfth century, is one of the important scholars of the period. al-Harawī, whose life we do not have enough information about, spent his last years under the auspices of Ayyūbīs. He gave lectures in al-Madrasa al-Harawiyya, which was established for him in Aleppo. Only two works of al-Harawī, known to have written four works, have survived to the present day. The work named al-Ishārāt ilā Ma'rifat al-Ziyārāt, in which he describes the visits in the Islamic geography, is one of them. In this thesis, the aforementioned work of al-Harawī has been translated.
