Review and evaluation of Ebû Mansür en-Nisaburî's work titled el-Es'i̇letu ve'l-Ecvibetu

This research involves a verification and evaluation of Abu Mansur Al-Naisaburi's manuscript entitled Questions and Answers (Al Asilah wa Al Ajwibah). The research aims at enriching science by defining the origins and content of this manuscript and highlighting its scientific value. The introduction provides information about the subject, scope, aim, significance, methodology, and symbolic interpretation. It includes evaluation and verification. As for the evaluation part, it consists of three sections. The first section introduces the life of Abu Mansur al-Nisaburi, copies of the manuscript, and its form and content. The second section includes the evaluation of the book in terms of the style and method used by the author. Moreover, it discusses the evaluation of the narration, verses, hadiths and the sources of information that he extracted. As for the third section, it includes some issues and topics related to the prophets, such as the virtue of repentance, infallibility of the prophets, and afflictions they experienced, as well as trust, patience of the prophets, and some other topics. In the verification section, based on the two copies obtained, the book was reviewed according to the principles of Turkish assets in verification (İSAM). Based on the research, it has been determined that Abu Mansur al-Nisaburi's work primarily employs the method of symbolic interpretation (ishari tafsir). It has been observed that while some of his explanations align with the apparent meanings of the verses and the views of classical commentators, he also provides interpretations that align with symbolic sources on certain topics. The author's work includes questions and answers that are not commonly found in similar books. Additionally, it presents original comments and interpretations of the author on subjects such as the afflictions of prophets, infallibility, slips, superiority among prophets, and the virtues of the companions. In conclusion, it has been determined that the work contributes to the understanding of the Quran and its interpretation (tafsir) as it dealt with different and important aspects of science and controversary topics that are subjects of discussion regarding the prophets, such as their afflictions, their teaching, and their infallibility.
