Abstract (EN)

Abû Mûsâ Muhammad b. 'Umar Ahmad al-Madînî (d. 581/1185) was one of the hadith scholars who lived in the sixth century. Abû Mûsâ, who devoted his life to the sciences of hadith, took lessons from the leading scholars of the period from an early age and had many students. Abû Mûsâ, who trained himself in many fields of Islamic sciences, made important contributions tothe world of science with his works. Within the scope of this study, Abû Mûsâ al-Madînî's life, the place and period in which he lived, the social and political situation of his century, his teachers, his students, and the method he followed in his books are discussed. The aim of this thesis is to examine Abû Mûsâ al-Madînî's hadith within the framework of his works. However, the fact that some of his works have not survived to the present day and only the name and content of some of them are known does not make it possible to see his competence in those works. The method that Abû Mûsâ al-Madînî followed in his books has been examined in the context of the work itself, and an effort has been made to reveal his hadithicism. As a result of this research, it was seen that Abû Mûsâ al-Madînî wrote valuable works in all branches of hadith sciences and made important contributions to the field. It was also concluded that he was instrumental in the development and spread of hadith sciences in the geography where he lived.
