Abstract (EN)
Abû Shakûr al-Sûlimû is a scholar from the theology tradition of Hanafi-Mâtürîdî. He was probably born in the first half of the 5th century AH and died in the first quarter of 6th century AH in the the town of Kash in the city of Samarkand where al-Maturidiyya was born. This research, which deals with al-Sâlimî's understanding of theology, consists of introduction, conclusion and three parts. In the introduction, the subject of the study, the importance, purpose, method and resources, as well as the sociocultural status of the period and al-Sâlimî's approach to the Islamic sects were given information about. In the first chapter; al-Sâlimî's views on these theological issues are discussed: the knowledge in the context of reason, senses and hearing, the nature, the soul and movement, the being the contexts of the formation of celestial bodies, the essence of the creator and his attributes in the terms of whether it is permissible to link or not. In the second chapter, al-Sâlimî's point of view has been evaluated on these topics: the nature of faith, the relationship of faith with knowledge, classification of faith, the connection of faith with the concepts of Islam and good deeds, increase and decrease in faith, faith in terms of doubt, ownership of acts of humans, creation of acts of humans, powering the acts of humans, acts of humans and other related issues. In the third chapter, al-Sâlimî's approaches to these issues are discussed: the possibility of Prophethood, the innocence of the prophets, miracles, The Quran in the context of revelation to Prophet Muhammed, the Prophethood in the contexts of the Night Journey and Mi'raj, four Rashidun Caliphs, Muawiyah's rebellion, martyrdom of Hussein, Imamet in the direction of Abbasids Caliphate, the death and afterlife, possibility of intercession, the heaven and the hell, possibility to see Allah directly. As a result, al-Sâlimî's place and opinions in Islamic Theology and his understanding of theology were revealed.
