With this research, technical analyses of the etudes in Edouard NANNY?s book on contrabass etude were made and the targets and behaviours set forth in these etudes were tried to be attained in line with the findings obtained.The research involved a pre-study about the subject and no similar studies or sources were determined about the methods of education used in contrabass education. This research, which is limited to contrabass education and instruction, is a depictive study done for the purpose of shedding light on the studies done about contrabass education for the instructors and students.The way that is followed so as to reach a conclusion in the research is a depictive one and regional scanning method was used for the technical analyses of the etudes and the data were obtained through statistical method as part of frequency percentage.Since Edouard NANNY?s book on contrabass etude had the practical education method, an open-ended interview technique was used so as to take the opinions of specialists on the field of contrabass education.The usability of Edouard NANNY?s book on contrabass etude in contrabass instruction was determined in line with the findings obtained and the technical analyses of the etudes within the book were attained.
