Abstract (EN)

This research was carried out to determine the effect of different planting times (25 January, 25 February, 27 March, 21 April, 12 May) on the yield and yield parameters of some potatoes (Solanum tuberosum L.) varieties in 2017 at the experimental field of Siirt University Faculty of Agriculture in Kezer Campus. Three registered potato varieties (Borwina, Soraya, Alegria) were used as material in the experiment. The experiment was carried out in randomized blocks according to the split parcel trial design. In the study; characteristics such as date of planting, plant height, number of main stems, plant growth pattern, plant type, number of tubers per plant, average yield per plant, average tuber weight, marketable yield, deciduous tuber yield, bark smoothness and meat color were investigated. As a result of the research; It has been determined that Soraya cultivar provides better adaptation to the Siirt province ecological conditions compared to other cultivars. In the study, the period of plant emergence was changed between 53 days (Soraya-Alegria, 25 January planting) and 12 days (Soraya-Alegria-Borwina, 12 May planting). The marketable tuber yield varied between 826,68 kg / da (Alegria-12 May) and 5724,45 kg / da (Soraya-25 February). The highest tuber yield (5806,35 kg / da) in the study was obtained from the Soraya variety planted on February 25th.
