The study on some quality characteristics of Ba308 cotton cultivar grown at Bakirçay, Gediz, Küçük and Büyük Menderes basins of the Aegean region

Purpose of this study was to compare the fiber quality of cultivar BA308 grown in the Bakırçay, Gediz, Küçük Menderes and Büyük Menderes basins of the Aegean region by analysis the cotton fiber with the HVI test module.The quality data obtained by the analysis were analyzed by applying the standart analysis of variance in the nested desing with replication two location nested in four basins. The result of the comparisons: according to the law no. 5300 "Agriculturel Product Licensed Warehousing Law" and "Cotton Licensed Warehousing Regulations", the fiber quality classification of the Bakrçay and the Büyük Menderes basins were the found to be TBA+ (Turkish West Cotton A+) and then the fiber quality classification of the Gediz and the Küçük Menderes basins were rated TBA (Turkish West Cotton A).
