Abstract (EN)

This thesis deals with the prediction of soil temperature's as a function of time and depth. And present study especially related to earth to air heat exchangers and heat pumps. Values, especially near the surface, depend on futures such as seasonal weather variations, thermal conductivity, etc.The main issue is that despite values are significantly important, can not be reached easily.Hence mathematical model is developed for soil temperatures prediction.Measured data between 1960 and 2014 that was taken from the Izmir State Meteorological Station, and predicted soil temperatures at different depths which are 5-10-20-50-100cm were compared for each. The maximum percentage errors obtained as 19%, 17.5%, 16.8%, 18%, 19% for Afyonkarahisar, 14.5%, 13.9%, 12.5%, 12.5%, 10.5% for Aydin, 11%, 10.6%, 8%, 7.7%, 5.9% for Denizli, 11.33%, 12.26%, 8.54%, 11.14%, 10.96% for Izmir, 20%, 14.1%, 12.6%, 16%, 15.7% for Kutahya, 13.43%, 12.03%, 8.5%, 9.4%, 8.7% for Manisa,15%, 15.3%, 11.9%, 12.2%, 12.2% for Mugla and 17.5%, 16%, 13.95%, 14.86%, 15% for Usak respectively. This thesis describes to relationship between air and soil temperature.
