In this study, between March 2013 and May 2019, 405 individuals belonging to the genus Achenium (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae) were collected by using aspirator and soil screening methods in the field studies conducted in the Aegean and Central Anatolia Regions. As a result of field studies, a total of five species belonging to the genus Achenium were recorded. These species are Achenium anatolicum Jarrige, 1952; A. humile (Nicolai, 1822); A. propontiacum Bordoni, 2009; A. scimbalioides Koch, 1937 and A. turcicum Coiffait, 1971. Of the recorded species; A. humile (Nicolai) was resported for the fisrt time from the Aegean Region, A. scimbalioides Koch and A. turcicum Coiffait species were reported for the first time from Central Anatolia Region. In addition, new records have been submitted for many provinces. A. turcicum Coiffait species was recorded for the first time outside the type locality after its description and its distribution was found to be much higher than it was previously known. A. turcicum Coiffait and A. anatolicum Jarrige species are endemic species for Anatolia. A diagnostic key for all known species was generated from the study area, records of the species were mapped and diagnostic characters of the identified species were photographed. In addition, some ecological notes of the recorded species are included.
