Material and Method: Between March 2013 and March 2016 in Ege University Medical Faculty Hospital Gastroenterolgy Clinic Endoscopy Unit totally 21864 procedures were performed. All of the reports were evaluated retrospectively and 4001 colonoscopy reports were reached which have been performed between March 2013 and March 2016 in Ege University Medical Faculty Hospital Gastroenterology Clinic Endoscopy Unit. Age, gender, colonoscopy indications, the success of cecal intubation, colonoscopy findings and pathological findings were the data collected from colonoscopy reports and pathology reports. The data was analyzed statistically. Results: A total of 3620 patients between 18 and 95 years of age underwent colonoscopic examinations, and totally 4001 colonoscopic procedures have been performed. 2134 (53.3%) of the patients were male, 1867 (46.7%) were female. The mean age was 55.91±14.58 years. The most common indication was colorectal polyp surveillance (%19.1) followed by screening, iron defficiency anemia. Cecal intubation rate was 88%. Bowel preparation was good or excellent in 57.43% of colonoscopic procedures. The most common finding in colonoscopies was colorectal polyp (31.92%). The normal findings rate was 30.72%. Colorectal cancer rate was 2.92%. The most common histopathological type in colorectal tumors was adenocarcinoma (84.78%). Conclusion: Polyp surveillance and inflammatory bowel diseases surveillance rates are higher than the rates of literature. Colorectal polyp was found in one third of colonoscopies. Colorectal polyp was the most common finding in patients underwent colonoscopy. Hemorrhoid and diverticula rates were similar with the literature. Colorectal cancer rate was similar with other studies in Turkey, however, it was lower than the foreign literature. Although in our study cecal intubation rate was optimal, bowel preparation for colonoscopy was not good enough.
