Content analysis of the articles published in the field of mathematics in the education and science journal

The purpose of this research is to examine the articles in the field of mathematic educations published in the Journal of Education and Science in terms of their structures and trends. The research was designed based on the descriptive content analysis method. Within the scope of the research, a total of 212 issues published in the Education and Science journal were examined and 147 articles were determined, and the data obtained were analyzed by descriptive analysis method. According to the results obtained; in the journal, the first article in the field of mathematics was published in 1984, the number of published articles generally increased since 2008 and decreased after 2014, the articles examined were mostly designed with descriptive patterns and case studies, the articles mostly included studies the teacher sample was studied, mostly achievement tests and interviews were used in data collection tools, content analysis was used most in the analysis of the data, and the articles were mostly published in Turkish, it was mostly studied within the scope of perception/attitude/opinion/anxiety/belief/self-efficacy profiling has been determined.
