Analysis of the texts in Eğitim ya da Eğitim journal in terms of vocabulary and values education

The main purpose of this study is to determine the vocabulary elements and values education in Eğitim ya da Eğitim journal. The issues of the journal published every two months since November 2019 were reviewed. The 1-year written printing process has been followed. The research consists of four parts. In the introduction part of the study, the problem situation, sub-problem sentences, purpose and importance are mentioned and then assumptions, limitations and definitions are emphasized. In the first part, the concept of words, vocabulary and its elements, and values education are discussed with the title of conceptual framework. In the second part, method part, descriptive research model was used. The working universe of the research consists of the first six issues of the YA DA journal. In the third part, under the title of findings and interpretation, the elements of vocabulary determined and inferences about values education are included. Then, the values included in the vocabulary in the journal were mentioned. It has been determined that the values are mostly included in the statements. It is seen that the YA DA magazine has a rich content on dilemma, especially on idioms. The use of proverbs, relationship words, and stereotypes has been limited. The vocabulary elements and values education determined are presented in a table. The root values of values education have been included in each issue; but it was determined that some sub-values were not included. In the fourth chapter, which is the last chapter, discussion, conclusion, suggestions, sources and appendices are presented. Suggestions have been made in order to benefit from the values determined according to the Turkish Education Program (2019), the Turkish Language and Literature Curriculum (2017). This study aims to bring a different perspective to subsequent research. The work to be done is limited to examining the Education or Education magazine.
