Teaching program of educational institutes

The present study aims to investigate the curriculum and course contents of Educatıon Instıtute an important institution in training middle school teachers in Turkey's history education. In this study, document analysis. As a result of the analysis, the establishment, development, education programs and course contents of the educational institutes were put forward. The first step towards education institutes was the opening of the Gazi Education Institute in 1926-1927 with the name "Middle Teacher School". Besides new institutions that train teachers were also opened. In 1944, the Necati Education Institute and the Middle School of Teachers were opened in Balıkesir Teacher's School. As of this date, the number of education institutes in the country has increased. Especially in this study, aims to how the programs and course contents of the educational institutes that were decided to be opened after 1946 were designed and implemented. Since the duration of all departments in the education institutes was increased to three years in the 1967-1968 academic year, this school was named as the three-year Education Institutes. However, in later years, the duration of some departments was extended to four years. Educational institutes were turned into Higher Teacher Schools in 1980. In 1982, all education institutes in the country continued as Faculty of Education.
