Abstract (EN)
This study aims to explain the levels of leadership capacity and organizational citizenship behavior of teachers in educational institutions and the relationship between them. In the research, relational survey model was used. The research population consists of 4025 teachers working in primary, secondary and high schools in the central districts of Uşak province in 2019-2020 academic years. The sample of the study consists of 295 teachers working in the central districts of Uşak. In the study, since face-to-face data collection opportunities were limited due to the pandemic process, the easy sampling method was used and data collection tools were distributed and collected online. In this study, the study titled "Adaptation of the Leadership Capacity Scale (Olkö) in Schools: A Validity and Reliability Study" developed by Lambert (2003) and adapted into Turkish by Kılınç, Büyüköztürk, Altun (2013) to determine the leadership capacity levels of teachers and for quantitative data, Olkö was used. Olkö, which aims to reveal leadership capacity, consists of 30 items in 6 dimensions. In order to determine the level of organizational citizenship, a scale consisting of 4 dimensions (meticulousness, virtue, benevolence, sportsmanship) and 17 items (Belenkuyu & Yücel, 2017) was used. Percentage, arithmetic mean, frequency, and standard deviation values were calculated in the analysis of the research data, one-way analysis of variance, t-Test and Pearson product moment correlation analysis were used. According to the results of the research, it was seen that the perceived leadership capacity levels of the teachers were at a moderate level. It was observed that teachers' perceptions of leadership capacity did not differ significantly according to gender and marital status variables. A significant, negative and low level relationship was found between teachers' perceptions of leadership capacity and other variables such as age, seniority and length of service in the same school. A positive, significant and low-level relationship was found between the distributed leadership sub-dimension of leadership capacity and the managerial variable. It was determined that the perceived organizational citizenship behavior levels of the teachers were "high". It was concluded that teachers' perceptions of organizational citizenship did not show a significant difference according to gender and marital status variables. According to the correlation analysis of teachers' organizational citizenship behaviors; No statistically significant relationship was found between teachers' perceptions of organizational citizenship and the variables of age, seniority, and length of service at school. A statistically significant, positive and low-level relationship was found between the virtuousness sub-dimension of the scale on teachers' perceptions of organizational citizenship and the managerial experience variable.
