Digital leadership and organizational wisdom relationship in educational organizations

This study aims to determine whether digital leadership has a role in reaching organizational wisdom of educational organizations. Since the research is trying to determine the interaction between more than one variable, the research is suitable for the correlational research model, which is one of the quantitative research models. Within the scope of the research, a digital leadership and organizational wisdom scale development study was conducted. The digital leadership scale consists of three dimensions: digital transformation, digitalization, distance and hybrid education. The organizational wisdom scale consists of five dimensions: communication, proactive management approach, school climate, motivation and effective school. The population of the research consists of 57104 school principals working in Turkey in 2021/2022 academic year. The sample of the research consists of 605 school principals working in Turkey in 2021/2022 academic year. As a result of the research, significant differences emerged in both digital leadership and its sub-dimensions and organizational wisdom and sub-dimensions according to gender, educational status, level of employment, seniority in management, EU digital competence level demographic variables. According to the demographic variable of the service region, it was determined that there was a significant difference in the dimensions of organizational wisdom, communication and proactive management understanding. It has been revealed that digital leadership has a role in increasing the organizational wisdom of educational organizations. At the same time, it has been determined that digital leadership has a positive role in the sub-dimensions of proactive management, motivation, school climate, and effective school.
