Examining the reasons for the need for change related to the educational process in educational organizations according to teachers' opinions

This study aims to examine the reasons for the need for change regarding the educational process in educational organizations according to teachers' opinions. It was conducted through qualitative research based on the phenomenological pattern. The research group is teachers working in primary, secondary and high school schools in the 2023-2024 academic year. The 12 teachers who participated in the research were determined using the affine sampling technique within the framework of the purposeful sampling method. An interview form consisting of 8 questions was used by the researcher as a data collection tool. In analyzing the obtained data, the descriptive analysis technique was used, which allows the data to be systematically presented based on cause-effect relationships. The obtained data were analyzed using the line reading technique. The rapid development of technology, changing student interests and expectations day by day, increasing needs of teachers for professional development, changing teaching methods in proportion to technological developments and student expectations, and change in course equipment are revealed as the reasons for the need for change in educational organizations. In addition, it has been determined that the necessary measures regarding change in educational organizations must be taken in a timely manner without delay, school administrations must make their plans within this need, and institutions that move to the field of learning by taking risks and moving away from their comfort zones must ensure development. It has been determined that in-service training should be received by teachers and school administrations in certain routines, institutions should be informed about current developments and new dynamics, and production should be provided as a result of the training received. Also, institutions working as a team to come up with solutions within their own needs and activating the strategic plan and project execution commissions in institutions are seen as prerequisites for change.
