Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of performance evaluation on teachers in educational organizations in terms of human resources practices. The study is based on secondary schools located in Kadıköy, İstanbul in the 2012-2013 academic year, and 232 branch teachers employed in randomly selected 3 private and 6 public schools have taken place in the study. The study aims to describe the effect of performance evaluation system on teachers in terms of individual variables in schools with and without human resources management department, therefore an appropriate general surveying model has been used. Also, a questionnaire has been used to present the effect of performance evaluation on teachers. Before analyzing the data, the sources for the educational institutions, concepts about human resources management, concepts about performance evaluation management and concepts about how performance evaluation takes place in educational organizations are described. The quantitative data are analyzed by SPSS 15.0 program, frequency and percentage calculations, arithmetic mean and standard deviation are analyzed by Individual Group T-Test, Kruskal Wallis H-Test and Mann Whitney U Test. The findings are discussed and suggestions are made. Key words: Human resources management, performance evaluation, educational institutions
