The Evaluation of drama method in the content of education management and education methods relations

THE EVALUATION OF DRAMA METHOD IN THE CONTENT OF EDUCATIONMANAGEMENT AND EDUCATION METHODS RELATIONSABSTRACTIt is aimed to analyze effects of drama and traditional methods upon successes and attitudes ofstudents towards the lectures according to cognitive area steps in this study, entitled to ?Theevaluation of drama method in the content of education management and education methodrelations? The study consist of egiht parts which are introduction and state of problem, gameand drama, drama during the period of education-instruction, planning of drama programmeeducation process, related studies, methods, results and interpretation, conclusion, discussionand suggestion.In the scope of this study, the unite that is 23 th April National Soverignity and Child Bairamhas been chosen from the life knowledge text book of primary school third class. This unitehas been taught to case and control groups by using drama method or tradional methodrespectively. The test that had been previously prepared acccording to knowledge,comprehension and practice steps of cognitive area was applied to find differences aboutsuccess and attitude levels in two groups at the beginning and at the end of the session .Datas collected with the help of success and attitude tests analyzed by frequency (f),percentage (%), arithmethic medium ( x ), standard deviation (ss) and t-test. Significantdifferences between two groups are tested at the level of α=0,01.Although the scores of success test according to knowledge step are similiar in two groups,success scores of comprehension and practice steps are significantly different in the favour ofthe case group at the end of the session. Students of drama method applied class were moresuccessful than the control group according to comprehension and practice steps. It was alsoshown that drama method has positively effected attitudes of students towards the lectures.Key Words: education management, drama, traditional method, cognitive area, attitude ofstudents,
