Examination abouth views of educators on paper reading and screen reading with pencil writing, keyboard writing and electronic pen writing

The time spent with electronic devices such as computers, tablets, televisions, telephones, etc. has increased with the rapid developments in technology. This situation has caused individuals to do more reading on the screen during the day than readings made from printed sources and more of the writing work with keyboard than writing with pencil. The purpose of this research is what kind of thoughts the educators have about the impact of different types of reading and writing tools on reading and writing skills. In this research, it is aimed to determine the positive or negative effect of the reading made by the printed source from the reading tools and the education of the reading made on the screen, writing on the screen by writing with pen, writing with keyboard and writing with electronic pen on the screen, to determine the conformity of technological applications with primary schools by taking the opinions of class teachers, administrators and academicians. In order to achieve this aim, the educators in the Elazığ Province Central District were selected as the universe and interviews were conducted with 10 class teachers, 10 administrators and 10 academicians working in Elazığ, who constitutes the working group of the researchers. In the research, the data were obtained by the answers given in the interview form. In this study, which is a qualitative research, the results were analyzed by content analyzing. Regarding the advantages of reading from paper, it is seen that the book has a unique smell, enjoyment of touching, access to reading pleasure, better understanding, easier reading and following, more comfortable in terms of eye health, the convenience of note-taking and the ability to read faster can be achieved according to the opinions of the educators participating in the interview in the research results. With regard Educators, disadvantages of reading from the paper, damage to nature, being boring, difficulty in reaching too much resources, and difficulty in carrying it opinions have been reached. As a result of the research, according to the educators, regarding the advantages of reading on the screen; more convenient, easier to use, more resources available, time and paper savings, economical, more permanent, faster learning and easier handling opinions have been reached. Regarding the disadvantages of reading on the screen from the perspectives of the educators, eye health and other health problems, focusing problems, reducing the value given to the church, experiencing difficulties in follow-up and taking notes, costing, creating environment and technological infrastructure problems, and generally appealing to younger generations opinions have been reached. In addition, the majority of educators stated that reading paper is more appropriate for primary school children. As a result of the research, according to the opinions of the educators, regarding the advantages of writing with pen; it is easy transfer of feelings, development of psychomotor skills, personality peculiarity, reminiscence, easy reachability, reflection of personality, habit, pleasure, order habits opinions have been reached. As far as the disadvantages of writing with the pen are concerned, according to the opinions of the educators are loss of function, wasting paper, causing physiological damage, causing loss of time, and difficulty in correcting the error opinions have been reached. As a result of the research, according to the opinions of the educators, regarding the advantages of writing with the keyboard; ease of correction, legible writing, writing beauty, time saving, paper saving, fast writing possibility, functional and practical opinions have been reached. The disadvantages of writing with the keyboard that educators stated; numbness, loss of health, simple finger movements, affecting the deterioration of the Turkish, being limited to the environment in which the computer is located and not enjoying it opinions have been reached. According to the results of the study, most of the trainers did not know about the electronic pen and those with the knowledge found the electronic pen unnecessary compared to pen and keyboard. According to the results of the research, the majority of the educators stated that writing with a pen is more suitable for primary school children and that the keyboard can be used after the pen writing process is complete, but in general, electronic pencil is not suitable for primary school children.
