The main purpose of this research is to make an evaluation of thc gain that is to be enriched and to be used more effectively by the help of some şort of themes: such as joke, cant phrase. tale. humorous stories, riddles. caricature and humorous literary genre resources vvhich take place in Teaching Turkish Language Program me.This is the \vork which takes aim at researching of the effects of humorous literary genres and to ensure the effective use in 2004-2005 Teaching Turkish Language Programme.The importance of Humorous Literary Genres that would be hclpful for children's lingual development, gaining reading habit, and creative vvriting; in addition to these, the use of the genres in 2004-2005. Teaching Turkish Language Programme. 1-5. grades Turkish studenLs and teachefs source book; is strongly mentioned in this research paper.The fcasibility of humorous literary genres \vas aimed at being as resource for parents. teachers and students and also doing the resource search of the genres.As a conclusion of the research: as the chikLs gro\vth level. expectation and manner are taken into consideration; İt is clearly seen that the gains - take place in Teaching Turkish Language Programme. - dircctcd Humorous Literary Genres haveıTt been retleeted effectivelv enouuh into Turkish course books.
