Özet (EN)
The objective of this research is the theoretical investigation of using VapourAbsorption Refrigeration System in the Automobile Air Conditioning System,by utilising the waste heat in the exhaust gases of the main propulsion unit asthe heat source. This method will be provided as an alternative to theconventional system that have an internal combustion engine driven VapourCompression Refrigeration System. Vapour Absorption Refrigeration System isanalysed in the study, uses water as the refrigerant and lithium-bromide as theabsorbent, has a design cooling capacity of between 3,2 kW and 29,6 kW . Theinformation values are based on heat distribution of the exhaust gases of the1400 cc. engine under various speeds and loads. The Vapour AbsorptionRefrigerant Systems have many favorable characteristics. Firstly, they normallyrequire a small electrical input to drive the solution pump, but this is very smallcompared to the power requirements of the compressor in the VapourCompression Refrigeration System. Secondly, the absence of moving parts,except for the solution pump, means low noise, high reliability and longdurability of the Vapour Absorption Refrigeration Systems. The comparison ofthe conventional Automobile Air Conditioning System and the alternativesystem using Vapour Absorption Refrigeration System showed that, theperformance level of the exhaust gas driven system was acceptable.Operation during the slow motor cycle condition, the performance of thesystem can be developed by more efficient design of the generator.
