Abstract (EN)
Ihram weaving, known locally as "Ehram", is a word of Arabic origin and means illicit intimate. Ehram, known as the seamless dress that pilgrims wear when entering the Kaaba, is also used as a woolen cover and ground spread. Even the ancient Greeks and Romans also used it for worship, which was white in color and consisted of woolen fabric. Although the Erzurum and Bayburt ehrams differ in terms of the materials and techniques used, women have used them as outer clothing in the past due to the climate conditions and religious beliefs in the region. Currently, it is still used for this purpose, albeit slightly. While there used to be several ehram weavings most certainly in the dowry of every young girl in the past and they were used in daily life, today their use has changed with the influence of living conditions and developing technology. In different areas of use (jackets, trousers, shirts, etc. ), in colors and sizes, and its production also occurs with non-natural materials. Weaves of Ihram (Erzurum and Bayburt) and remanu facturing Using Different Yarn natural dyenamed" in my the sistitled, which is one of the most important regional Anatolian Natural raw materials ihram weaving technique adhering to different fabrics ( cotton, silk and linen) for weaving with experimental studies. These raw materials were dyed with natural dyestuffs and light fastness tests were performed in the laboratory environment. Yarns obtained with different thickness were dyed with dyestuffs with high fastness. With these yarns that work well, the motifs that are most common in ehram weavings are woven using yarns of different raw materials, colors and thicknesses in a different composition layout, without changing the technical characteristics of ehram weavings, again in the technique of bezayai, on an sample loom. Then 45x70 cm. in the photoshop program, 8 ehram weaves performed in size were dressed for clothes and home textiles. 4 Color variations have also been considered for each of these weaves. Of course, in a changing world, it is an inevitable fact that our hand-woven fabrics produced by traditional methods will under go changes and lose their former importance. What we need to do is to ensure that ehram weaving is used more in different fields without compromising both the raw material and the weaving technique and quality today, where mass production and fast consumption are experienced. Otherwise, it is inevitable tha tthese precious weaves will disappear over time.
