Abstract (EN)
The Rho proteins which are responsible for signal transduction and Rho-kinase which is one of the Rho proteins cause contractility, cell permeability, differentiation in migration and proliferation and apoptosis depending on cell types. All of these functions are vital for cancer initiation and progression. In this study, in vivo antitumoral effect of Rho kinase inhibitor Y-27632 aganist to Ehrlich ascites tumor (EAT) in Swiss albino mice was investigated. Nine groups; six experimental, three control groups were included (for each group n=10). Y-27632 (0,1-1-10 mg/kg) was given to groups as two steps before and after treatment. During experiment, weight changes of all animals were recorded. All animals were sacrified by ether anesthesia and intestine and colon tissues were taken and investigated pathologically. EAT cells were counted by cedex XS cell counter before and after experiment. According to data when before and after tumor groups compared, it was determined that 1 mg/kg dose Y-27632 belonging to second before tumor groups was determined to be effective against to EAT.Key words: Rho-kinase, Y-27632, Ehrlich, Antitumoral
