Abstract (EN)

The parameters that best show the development level of a country are the energy production and consumption amounts per capita. considered among developing countries in energy consumption in Turkey remains low compared to countries that are competitors. While the majority of energy demand in our country is provided by hydroelectric, lignite-based thermal power plants and natural gas, the majority of energy is supplied from other countries despite the increasing need. However, having the largest lignite reserves in Turkey, the foreign dependence on technology also could use these resources efficiently because it is a great deal more. The developing countries whose goal is to go from the status of Turkey to the status of developed countries, it is certainly in order to achieve the most efficient way to learn to use their own resources. Therefore, our country should not be indifferent to developments in mechanization in underground coal mining as in every sector in the world. Nowadays, the use of digging machines is increasingly increasing in underground coal mining. Due to the high investment cost for the mechanized excavation, the selection of a suitable digger is very important. It should be noted that the choice of the wrong excavation machine will result in low efficiency and a great loss of time. The physico-mechanical properties of the excavated coal must be well known in order to be able to choose the suitable excavation machine and to adapt the excavating machine to the changing excavation conditions in use. In this master's thesis, laboratory studies, statistical analyzes and mathematical approaches for performance analysis of cutter-loader machines used in Çayırhan coal basin were discussed. E05 and H03 production boards in E and H fields of Çayırhan coal basin were determined as research areas of this study. Experimental and statistical studies were carried out with the samples taken from the 44 m long area of the 220 m long long foot excavation bee, where the excavation works were carried out on the E05 and H03 production panels. With the data obtained, the effects of the physico-mechanical properties of coal on the production performance have been tried to be determined. For this purpose, 160 Schmidt hardness data, 95 dot loading (00) data, 118 dot loading (900) data, 80 particle size analysis (d50) data, 8 calorie (kcal/kg) data and 8 surface area (m2/kg) data were obtained. In addition, 8 net excavation speed (NKH, m3/h) data, 8 drum burying quantity (cm) data, 8 foot slope (E05) data, 8 pcs slope (0) data, 8 machine walking speed (m/h) data and 8 grindability (%) data have been obtained. In addition, the samples taken from H03 board with 160 Schmidt hardness data, 98 point loading (00) data, 111 point loading (900) data, 80 particle size analysis (d50) data, 8 calorie (kcal/kg) data and 8 surface area (m2/kg) data were obtained. In addition, H03 board mathematical calculations with 8 net excavation speed (NKH, m3/h) data, 8 drum burying quantity (cm) data, 8 foot slope (0) data, 8 pcs slope (0) data, 8 machine walking speed (m/h) data and 8 grindability (%) data have been obtained. Then, these experimental and mathematical data were compared with each other. With these comparisons, it has been tried to be brought into account the changing excavation performance in different excavation conditions.
