Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted in the experimental field of Adnan Menderes Agricultural Research Institute at a randomized split split blocks design in two years (2003-2004 and 2004-2005 growing seasons). The objective of this study was to determine the effects of increasing nitrogen doses (0?80?160?240 kg ha-1) and different plant density (300?500?700 plant m-2) on some bread wheat cultivars (Gönen-Cumhuriyet-Golia) agronomic and quality parameters. The nitrogen doses and plant density applications showed different results in both years; hence the properties were evaluated separately among these years. In order to determine the relations between these properties, the correlation analyze way used.As a result, 160 kg ha-1 nitrogen applications were the most economical doses for high yield, moreover the optimum plant density value was determined as 500 and the maximum yield among all varieties was obtained with the Golia. Differently from yield, an increased amount up to 240 kg ha-1 nitrogen doses showed an increase at the quality parameters (except of falling number). In spite of the high applications of nitrogen doses, there were not obtained protein rates as high as expected. Nevertheless, especially the wet gluten and gluten index showed good results among all varieties. For the quality parameters, 300 and 500 plant density values lead to best results. The highest applied nitrogen doses caused a decrease at the basic amino acid values which were even lower than the control applications amino acid values. Some aminoacid level in high nitrogen doses were higher than control nitrogen doses.
