Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted to determine genetic system and mechanism of inheritance of some agricultural characters and to indentify suitable parents and promising hybrid combinations in wheat at Bursa, Uludağ Üniversity, Agricultral Faculty. The 7 parents and their half diallel crosses were examined in terms of plant height, spike length, spikelet number per spike, grain number per spike, grain weight per spike, 1000 grains weight . The data obtained were evaluated by Griffing combining ability analysis, Jinks-Hayman diallel cross analysis and heterosis-heterobeltiosis percentage. According to results of study, both additive and non additive gen effects were dominated for plant height; it has been concluded that epistatic effects can be effective for spike length, grain number per spike, spikelet number per spike . non additive gen effects were effective for grain weight per spike and when 1000 grains weight is examined, ıt has been found that over dominance is effective . It has been determined that; the greatest value for narrow-sense heritability is for plant height (0.315),while the lowest is for grain number per spike (0.029); The greatest value for broad sense heritability is (0.637) for plant height, and the lowest value (0.435) is for grain weight per spike. When it is examined the mean values of heterosis and heterobeltiosis, plant height, grain number per spike, grain weight per spike, 1000 grains weight exhibited positive heterosis, negative heterobeltiosis was observed in terms of all characters.
