Abstract (EN)
In the first part, the historical development process of the portrait and the theoretical substructure of the portrait were discussed and the second part reduced the concept of expression from the development process of the art flow to the psycho - sociological aspects of the art by associating the concept with the psychology and personality of the artist and taking into consideration the psycho-sociological Expressionism drew a line between the previous art concepts and the traditional art concept and advocated that external reflections be internalized and externalized. Thus, expressive artists used the material for this purpose. The works of Expressionist artists Egon Schiele, Willem de Kooning, Georg Baselitz, ernstdluwing Kirchner were studied with the materials they used to strengthen the expression.
