Abstract (EN)

In this study eigen-values of an elastic beam were investigated and mode shapes were determined for various boundary conditions. Closed method solutions were made for free-free, pinned-free, spring supported, fixed-fixed, simply supported and fixed-free boundary conditions. Finite element solutions and experimental analysis were made for spring supported, fixed-fixed and fixed-free boundary conditions. Vibration measurements were taken from several places of the beam by BK 2515 vibration analyser. Finally, the results obtained from experiment were compared with the calculated results and a good agreement between these results were obtained. For viscoelastic point supported beam, using non-dimensional spring and dashpot coefficents, natural frequencies of the beam were investigated. Effect of variation of the spring and dashpot coefficents were investigated and compared with the other results.
