The statistical analysis of the structural features of dairy cattle operations in the city Elazig

Cattle breeding is one of the most important fields of livestock in Turkey. Dairy products and milk are the prominent nutrition derived from cattle. Cattle breeding is an important business in the city of Elazig, just as it is in every region.A poll was materialized on 310 operations which are active in the dairy cattle business in the centrum city district and 10 districts, and the structural features of cattle dairy business in Elazig was materialized in cooperation with the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture at Elazig. The poll questions generally consist of the demographic features of exploiters, the operational features of exploiters, and it embraces the farming, produce, health, support, and organizational fields of operations. This has been prepared with the purpose to present solution advices for the determined deficiencies, and to provide them for Elazig with the features within the context of cattle breeding. The data obtained with the poll were analysed with percentage frequency, x- square, Correlation and fit analysis in the IBM SPSS 22 packet programme, and these were interpreted with the data derived. It's determined that only 45.8% of dairy cattle exploiters were only active with farming, that 10.6% were university graduates, and that 1% of them had incomes from dairy cattle of TL126.000,- in Elazig. Barns and concrete as construction material were preferred in general at the operations. It was realized that only 13.5% of the exploiters were trained in livestock, and that 47.1% of them produced forage crop. A vast population of local exploiters didn't ask for regular veterinary services for the cattle, and required veterinary services only when diseases were observed. It's finally observed that dairy cattle operations in Elazig didn't benefit from the opportunities in the district. Dairy cattle activities weren't sufficiently developed because little family-run operations were active in the region. By the way, it has been observed that the annual dairy cattle income will increase directly proportional when factors like the increase of trainings, capacity increase of barns, and increase in the total number of cattle has been materialized ( P<0,05), (P<0,01), (P<0,001)
