Harmful toxins are known as mycotoxins is produced by single-celled fungi and produced in a lot of food consumed in daily life depends on production or storage conditions under unfavorable conditions. Aflatoxins; one of the most important of these, cause toxic, mutagenic, teratogenic and carcinogenic effects depending on the dosage . The aim of this study is determine the levels of aflatoxin M1 in the milk samples produced in the Elazığ and its 22 villages. A total of 60 milk samples obtained from 30 milk production operations operating in Elazığ province were brought to Elazığ Provincial Food Control Laboratory by carrying them in disposable clean cups and cold chain and analyzed here by HPLC in terms of aflatoxin M1 level. As a result of analysis, it was found that 16 (27%) of the 60 raw milk samples did not contain AFM1, 36 (60%) contained AFM1 within the legal limits and the remaining 8 (13%) contained AFM1 above legal limits.
