Abstract (EN)

Elçin Efendiyev, one of the important names of Azerbaijani Turkish Literature, has international importance with his works translated into more than twenty languages as well as the field of Azerbaijan. With the works, he wrote during and after the oppressive and destructive policies of the Soviet era, he became the defender of national truths in many fields, both political, cultural, and social, and carried the aim of shedding light on a period with all his realism. Along with all these social, cultural-tragic issues, he did not neglect to emphasize the rich heritage of folk culture in his works. This study, which was conducted based on the determination of the prominent rich heritage, consists of examining Elçin Efendiyev's novels Ak Deve, Mahmut and Meryem, Ölüm Hükmü, and Kafa, which were translated into Turkey Turkish, in terms of folk culture elements.
