Geographic Information Systems (GIS) increase its importance day by day due to the necessity of the spatial analysis and seeking solutions to the primary problems of many disciplines in planning and application. Wireless communication systems need the possibilities provided by geographic information systems. Wireless communication networks offer subscribers to have free mobility and possibility to access the information in any where. In this respect, electromagnetic coverage is very important for wireless communication. This research is a report on making queries about electromagnetic coverage and pollution by using Artificial Neural Networks Algorithm and Kriging Interpolation in GIS environment. Electromagnetic measurements were done at chosen pilot area. Electromagnetic propagation environment was modeled as 3 dimensional and presented in geographic information systems. This study has 10 main parts: At part one; the aim of the study and the reason of the necessity of geographic information systems in wireless communication have been described. At part two; geographic information systems have been defined and its components have been described. At part three; electromagnetic wave and the relationship between electromagnetic field and power have been explained. At part four; WLAN Wireless Local Area Networks technology and processing principles have been mentioned. At part five; 3D modeling and techniques used in GIS have been described. At part six; interpolation methods and the usage in GIS have been explained. Besides, the superiority of Kriging interpolation method according to the other methods has been explained. At part seven; definition of artificial neural networks, configuration, main components and multi-layer perceiving networks have been described. At part eight; electromagnetic pollution and the effects on human health have been described. At part nine; the measurements at Yıldız Technical University in T block building, the techniques used for 3D modeling, programming neural network and GIS application have been presented. At part ten; suggestions and the results through the application made have been explained.
